Why agents love us.
Just under half our instructions come through letting and managing agents.
By referring to Landlord Action an agent shows how seriously they’re trying to get a resolution. Years of campaigning for landlord causes and constant media attention has made Landlord Action the UK’s most recognised landlord champion.
Half of all our instructions come through property managers, letting agents and managing agents. Our expertise and our empathy with the landlord makes the process smoother.
We do all we can to help agents maintain their relationships with landlords. We have always fought for landlords, so of course we also fight for those who help landlords.
The business of possession and rental-debt recovery can be extremely time-consuming. It can also involve long conversations and repeated phone-calls. Dealing with the legal process can be unpleasant and frustrating. Through no fault of the agent or landlord, the process itself can damage a previously good commercial relationship.
We simply help agents to maintain good working relations with their landlords.

Head of Landlord and Tenant at Landlord Action, Julie Herbert can be booked for specialist training sessions. These are normally tailored to the particular business need. In the past, Julie has been asked to refresh agent knowledge, to bring agents up to speed with the latest regulation and to help induction of new recruits.
Landlord Action regularly runs seminars. These are more informal than the training sessions. Paul Shamplina, our founder, shares his twenty-five years experience in dealing with problem tenants. He gives advice on problems and solutions. These two-hour sessions are jargon-free and allow for plenty of questions and answers.
“A huge thank you to Paul for the regular participation in our lettings training sessions. His first-hand experience in legal matters as well as vast knowledge of the lettings industry have been of great help. All our delegates find the interactive, relaxed sessions very valuable indeed!”
Aleksandra Stallard, Hunters
“As a letting agent it is imperative for our team to be up-to-date about legislation. Paul’s training provides a great opportunity to get the correct information to help us respond to our customers’ needs. Paul has many years of experience and is a well-recognised expert within the industry, so there’s no question as to who’s best placed to work with.”
Sandra Mpouma, Upad
“Thank you so much for taking the trouble to come to the NLA offices and spending the day yesterday with the Advice Team. It was very much appreciated and was an excellent presentation with plenty of interaction!”
Pauline Wilson, NLA
