COVID-19 update – 5 June 2020
Robert Jenrick has today announced on Twitter that the court suspension for private and social possession cases has been extended until the end of August. We await further details and will update as we get them.
We are expecting changes will be made to the process for new notices and claims. There will be the introduction of a new ‘pre-action protocol’. The protocol is a series of steps to be taken before commencing and also potentially during court proceedings. They aim to encourage landlords to work with tenants to resolve a dispute before going to court.
With this in mind, Landlord Action are working in partnership with the Property Redress Scheme to offer a tenancy mediation service
